Bond fans across the world have been eagerly awaiting the release of the newest movie of the franchise, ‘No Time To Die’. Due to the current pandemic the release date has been pushed back until next year, but this doesn’t mean we can’t get our Bond fix now. Whether you enjoy a marathon of some of your favourite Bond films or take a look down memory lane at some of the franchise’s most memorable characters, it won’t be long until we catch a glimpse of the secret agent once again in the upcoming release.

As well as working alongside and against a host of memorable characters since the first film was released, James Bond has also been fortunate enough to drive a number of luxurious and sometimes peculiar cars. With some of these vehicles featuring in Bond films from a number of years ago now, this made LeaseCar wonder what they would look like as a modern day model.

With this in mind, LeaseCar recently reimagined some of Bond’s most iconic cars and created visuals to give you a better idea as to what they might look like. We wanted to share some of the reimagined designs with you, which you can see below. So share your favourite model on social, using #BondCarsRefreshed and tag @LeaseCar_UK.

Citroën 2CV from ‘For Your Eyes Only’

This quirky model doesn’t spring to mind when you think of James Bond. Often you’ll think of powerful sports cars being used at high speeds and the Citroën 2CV is quite the opposite. The reimagined model has kept the iconic Citroën body, with only a few modern adjustments being made. The bold yellow paint has been kept, whilst Bond’s famous 007 logo has been added to the door of the vehicle to give it a more stylish appearance.

Aston Martin DB5 from ‘Goldfinger’

When we think of James Bond and his most memorable car, the Aston Martin DB5 is surely everyone’s first choice. The luxurious motor has been used throughout numerous Bond movies, including the popular ‘Goldfinger’. One of the main features of this model was that it had the ability to fire Browning machine guns from the front indicators. This has been incorporated into the new model, as well as keeping the stylish body shape and sleek silver colour tone.

Iconic Cars

Lotus Esprit S1 from ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’

Although Bond has had an endless number of vehicles with the ability to adapt in difficult situations, one of the most memorable was the Lotus Esprit S1 which was able to turn from car into submarine. The newer model has been given modern alloy wheels and a more stylish grill at the front of the car. One thing that certainly hasn’t changed though, is its ability to tackle both land and sea.
